. . . because true equality demands gender-neutral policy.
Research
Below is a collection of resources for you to use. They include a research file detailing current gender-neutral policies, a handful of student-developed policy proposals, and a compilation of nearly 100 press articles about this growing student movement. We’re student-led, and volunteer-operated, so we try to update these as best we can. Let us know if you’d like to get involved and help keep all this up to date!
The Precedent: Current Gender-Neutral Policies
Through extensive internet research, news scanning, and phone interviews, we’ve identified a number of colleges and universities that have implemented gender-neutral living options. View the file below for a summary of our findings. Please note that the schools listed are only those that we’ve identified, and that there are bound to be many more that offer gender-neutral options. Further, as a rapidly growing collegiate movement, students around the country are initiating campus campaigns for inclusive policy. As new policies are implemented, and as they reach the media, this list continues to grow.

The Press: Media Coverage
Many campus initiatives have brought about widespread media attention and resulted in the generation of community discourse. Like any effort for societal change, framing the dialogue strategically and capturing the attention of the public is integral. Accordingly, we have attempted to document, as best we can, the colossal number of stories published in the past couple years.
